Bluetooth Marketing Hits Shoppers
Shoppers in the Los Angeles area will be hit with a new bluetooth marketing tool. The Macerich Co. and the Intera Group Inc. have launched a marketing campaign using bluetooth in the Los Angeles shopping area. This technology will send special offers as well as promotions to the people's mobile devices. When a shopper enters a special bluetooth zone the messages are sent. These zone areas are near food courts, movie theaters, box offices, lobbies and other pinpointed locations. It is an opt-in system which means that people will only receive these specials and offers if they choose to. With the 5 shopping malls it plans to start at the system will reach 6,000,000 square feet of retail space.Labels: bluetooth marketing
