Bluetooth 357- A Lesson in History

Thanks for visiting the Bluetooth 357 blog. Many of us are familiar with Bluetooth but I did not know where the name 'Bluetooth' came from. After a little research, I have come back with an interesting story.
Harald Bluetooth is an Anglicized name for a tenth-century king of Denmark. During his reign, he unified many tribes who were traditionally hostile to one another. These tribes ranged from Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. The Bluetooth technology was invented in a province of Sweden called Scania which was unified by King Harald. Ericsson paid homage to this by naming their new technology after him.
